Objem preejakulátu u zdravého muže je přibližně stejný nebo o něco menší objem než samotného ejakulátu. Dospělý muž uvolňuje zhruba 4 ml preejakulátu. Muž obvykle uvolnění preejkulátu nijak výrazně nepociťuje a tekutina se uvolní mimovolně bez jeho vědomí.
