Pre-ejaculate + Ejaculate
Flow of pre-ejaculate with interruption of stimulation and subsequent completion to ejaculation.
The purpose of pre-ejaculate is to lubricate the urethra before the emission of semen.
Pre-ejaculate is produced by the Cowper's glands, while ejaculate is produced in the testicles and seminal vesicles.
The volume of pre-ejaculate in a healthy man is approximately the same or slightly less than the volume of ejaculate itself. An adult man releases approximately 4 ml of pre-ejaculate. A man usually does not noticeably feel the release of pre-ejaculate and the fluid is released involuntarily without his awareness.
